One Thing

If there’s only one thing I can do
I can trust God Almighty who
Listens to every prayer
He is always there
When hurt from a fall
He comes and answers my call
When I’m feeling sad and blue
He is the only One who
Can pull me safely through
Pouring out grace & mercy too
Oh yes! In God Almighty I can trust
He alone is righteous, loving, & just

Purge from evil and do what is right before the Lord your God.
~~~
There is so much sexual promiscuity, blatant, and corrupt behavior. This is sin. Sin kills. The Word of God brings life, which says, “Purge from this evil.”

We want God’s blessings, but will we listen to His Word? It’s not about us – it’s all about God and what God has done in the Name of His Son.
~~~
Lord, God of Israel, forgive us our sins. Show us where we are off. Show us what we need to purge from. Lead us in the way everlasting. Thank you Lord.

The Course

There is no remorse
Following the Lord’s course
Along the path He will lead
Steadying your feet and feed
In Him you have been freed
He will tend to your every need
Life may not be what you think
But everything can change in a wink
Know this for sure
With Him you can endure
He is in control of all things
New life He brings
Don’t even think of giving up
With Him sit and have sup
He will renew your strength
Enabling you to go the length
The Lord truly loves you
And He cares what you do
You will always find
The Lord God is kind

It is a good thing to do
Sing out to your God
Give Him glory & laud
Sing high and sing low
Sing to Him all you know
For He is above all
On Him we can call
He does hear every voice
Come now and let us rejoice
Sing praises to the Lord
Let’s do it in one accord
Do not hesitate
For He is mighty & great
His blessings flow from above
Pouring out His unending love
He is so good to us

War – Do not be afraid of them, because the Lord God will be with you. Hear…today you are going into battle against your enemies. Do not be fainthearted or afraid; do not be terrified or give way to panic before them. For the Lord your God is the One who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies.

God gives His people specific instructions as how to battle the enemy in order to be successful.
~~~
Whether you’re up against a physical, spiritual, or an emotional battle, if you trust in the Lord God and follow His directions He will lead you in the way everlasting. His promises are true. No one and nothing can change any of God’s promises.

Thank you Lord for Your promises and Your protection. Help us to trust in You for all that we need in our lives and the lives of our loved ones.

Affirmation

A confirmation
of an affirmation
is greatly needed
to this we’ve pleaded,
but no one does care
nor are they aware
of the inner need
to which they could heed.
~~~
So when one is all alone
the inner man does moan
It is no fun
being the only one.
Everyone needs a compliment
an affirming supplement.
Then their self-esteem
could begin to gleam
sparkle and shine
the pleasure’s all thine.
~~~
So come now and be smart
turn to another and start
to let that person know
you care how they go.
Your words can support
one who is a needy sort.
Then you both should
feel rather good.
~~~
If you want to feel good inside
in this you should abide,
but you must be sincere and real
when you try to make one feel
worthy of the praise you give
this will encourage them to live.
You will both have a good day,
as you part along the way.

Communion

Lord, when we share communion
draw us into a deeper union.
When we share in the bread
may what You have said
bring forth a revelation
with You a deeper relation
and something brand new
in our communication with You.

With You as we dine
and share in the wine,
may new contemplation
along with revelation
be stirred in each heart
as we continue to take part
of what this truly means
from the One who redeems.
