Faith & Trust *2 Chron. 32

King Hezekiah saw the enemy advancing towards Judah. He and his people were prepared, but their faith and trust was not in themselves. It was in the Lord God.
~~~
“With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the LORD our God, to help us and to fight our battles.”….(2 Chron. 32:8)
~~~
So too, it is with us. When we put our trust in Messiah Jesus, He goes before us and all we have to do is follow behind Him. He will clear our way as we stay close to Him. Thanks be to YHWH!!!

A Killer *2 Chron. 26:3-21

Pride is a killer. It is God who gives good gifts, talents, abilities, and blessings. When we are humble, and know, and acknowledge our help comes from God blessings continue to flow. But when we become prideful and think, “My hand has done this. I’m great and powerful. I’m better than others. I’m the exception to the rule” that’s when downfall begins. Pride cometh before a fall. Only God gets the glory. When one thinks they are good and credits themselves for success and victories – taking all credit and giving nothing to God – this is a grave mistake, which in turn results in loss; loss of power, loss of reputation, loss of wealth, and everything else.
~~~
Lord God, thank you for Your blessings. May we be ever mindful of where our blessings come from; that they come from You. All we have and all we are comes from You. Keep us humble before You. In Jesus Name.
Important Decisions *2 Chron. 25:5-10
God is faithful. In His mercy, when we are about to make a bad or harmful choice He will warn us. But the choice is ours to listen to Him or not.
~~~
 The King of Judah did listen the first time and was blessed beyond comprehension. However, the sad point in this passage is that shortly thereafter when he was confronted again he chose not to heed the warning and suffered grave consequences.
~~~
We need to know that God takes His Word seriously. God’s Word hasn’t changed, nor will it change. God is honorable and He holds steady to His promises and covenants.
~~~
It is important to first seek God before making any important decisions. Making the wrong choice can be disastrous. It’s not about how we feel, or how we think, or about what we see. We are called by faith to trust in God in every situation. God is sovereign and in control of all things. However, we have free-will, so our choices have direct consequences as to what happens next.
~~~
Lord God, teach us and help us to seek you first before making any decisions. Then help us to follow and obey Your Word. Help us to listen to good counsel and reject all that is not from You. Even though we might not understand, we know Your ways are good and just. Keep us from doing anything stupid and from making poor choices. Thank You. In Jesus Name.
Good & Evil *2 Chron. 19:1-3
2 Chronicles 19:1-3   &   2 Chronicles 20:35-37
The question is posed: “Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord?”
~~~
These passages are warnings to us. Let us take heed and not make alliances with wicked people. If we do, the results will be disastrous for us and will affect our families as well. God will never bless anything wicked or evil.
~~~
Good and evil do not mix. It’s like trying to mix oil and water. They cannot become one, because the properties in each one are vastly different. Nothing good can come from it.
~~~
Lord God, break all ties we have with the wicked; whether it be people, places or things we do. Remove them from our midst. May righteousness and truth reign in our hearts and minds. In Jesus Name I ask.

Threat of Trouble *2 Chron. 20:1-30

~~~
When there is a threat of trouble, or trouble is about to strike call on the Name of the Lord, Jesus – pray and fast. He will hear and answer. Pour out your heart to Him, turn from sinful ways, and He will hear your plea and answer you.
~~~
The God of Israel is full of compassion, love, mercy, and grace, slow to anger and abounding in love. He is forever faithful even when we are not. He is gracious and kind. If you know not this God of Israel, call upon Him, seek Him and you will find Him; you will find life and your true calling.
~~~
Lord, God of Israel, thank you that we not only can call upon Your Name, but You hear us and respond to us because of Your great love and compassion for all people. Your mercy and grace abounds beyond limits. Come Lord, show us Your way and lead us in the way everlasting.
Like It or Not *2 Chron. 18
~~~
Correction, rebuke, hard words, or words we simply do not want to hear can be life saving to us if we heed them;  if not, disaster comes.
~~~
No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. (Heb. 12:11)
~~~
Only the prophets of the Most High God- YHWH should be valued. Nothing, absolutely nothing is superior to YHWH, His way, His Word. Whether we like it or not, we cannot change the facts or truth to suit our own wants and desires. If we try, nothing good or lasting will come from it.
~~~
Lord, God of Israel, show us Your way and help us to walk in it. When correction, rebuke, or words come that we don’t like or want to hear help us to accept Your truth with a good attitude and do what is right in Your eyes.
Three P’s *2 Chron. 17
~~~
What pleases God?
*To do what’s right in His eyes and not our own
*To seek Him and do His will as taught in His Word – The Holy Bible
*To teach people about God and follow Jesus
~~~
When these things take place there is a shift and peace; rest comes along with blessings: protection, provision, and prosperity.
~~~
There are numerous examples of what pleases God in The Holy Bible. Jehoshaphat, King of Judah, is just one of many.

True life = true relationship with the Most High God – YHWH
