Conduct *Eph. 4:11-32

How are we supposed to live? How are we to conduct ourselves according to God’s Holy Word? Verse by verse we will look at what the Lord says in the Bible.

vs. 12 – works of service for God
vs. 13-14 – grow up & become mature
vs. 15 – speak in love, grow up in Christ
vs. 16 – build each other up; love and support. Working for the good of the body of Christ
vs. 17 – guard your thinking; trust God completely. Take every thought captive.
2 Cor. 10:5  We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
vs. 18 – guard your heart. Do not be hard-hearted (stubborn). Believe and stand on God’s Word.
vs. 19 – be sensitive and not sensual. Indulge not in impurity. Lust after nothing
vs. 21 – live according to Jesus; the Truth
vs. 22 – put off old-self; corruption and deceitful desires
vs. 23 – live as new-self; new attitude and new mind set (no grumbling, complaining)
vs. 24 – new-self with righteousness and holiness (and we know that holiness means not living like everyone else, but living to please God by fully trusting Him.
vs. 25 – put of falsehood; lying and deceiving. Speak truthfully
vs. 26 – don’t sin when angry. Rectify the problem that same day
vs. 27 – keep all doors shut to the devil. (Obeying God’s Word keeps the door shut)
vs. 28 – don’t steal. Work and be useful
vs. 29 – watch what you say; no unwholesome speech. Build up others
vs. 30 – do not grieve the Holy Spirit.
vs. 31 – get rid of bitterness, rage, anger, brawling slander, every form of malice
vs. 32 – be kind, compassionate, and forgiving as God has been to you, so you should do
