Come to Me *Matt.11:28-30

Matt. 11:28-30 Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
~

The invitation to come is open to everyone. We first have to take action and go to Jesus. He calls, we respond, then He will give us rest. Physical rest from being overworked or exhausted because of some kind of manual labor. Emotional rest from fear, worries, about people, self, situations, over what is or what is not. So, we have to go to Jesus first to get the rest we need. Then we have to join Him. Yoke means to pair or join together. We need to learn from Jesus who’s gentle and humble. We need to learn how to be gentle and humble before God and man just like Jesus. Jesus wants to be with us and show us the way, so we can rest without being weary or anxious. Coming to Jesus we find peace. When we’re yoked or joined to Jesus we stay with Him, and He gives rest to our souls. Rest equals free from strife, fear, worries, anxiety, depression, etc. This is Christ’s promise to every person who comes to Him and stays with Him.
Then Jesus reassures us again saying His way is easy, because we’re not fighting against God’s will. We’re walking with Jesus. Our part is to go to Jesus, stay with Him, and He will give us rest. Burden: something heavy that’s carried. Something that’s bore with difficulty. To load heavily. To oppress or trouble.
That’s why if we go to Jesus, stay with Him, learn from Him, He not only takes our burdens away, but He keeps it off of us. It’s God’s promise to us. God doesn’t want us to be burdened, weighed down, nor carry a heavy load. He’s offering us a better way of life.

Others *Matt. 25:31-46

What we do for others we do unto the Lord God.
~~~
44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
Follow *Matt. 16:24
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.
~~~
The words are plain and simple. Following Jesus just means that we have to deny those things that would take us away from obeying His words. Following Him means we need to know where He is leading, so you have to get to know Him. It is very clear in the Holy Bible what it means to follow Jesus. How can you follow if you don’t spend time with Him and learn His way?

Account *Matt. 12:36-37

Everyone will have to give an account of their words on Judgment Day to the Lord God. No one is exempt.
~~~
36 But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the Day of Judgment for every empty word they have spoken. 37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”
~~~
Lord, help us to keep guard over our words. Help us to control our tongues; to use our tongues for good and not for evil. In Jesus Name.

28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Kingdom of God *Matt. 11:20-24

John the Baptist was not the only one in the New Testament who preached repentance. Jesus also taught repentance.
~~~
Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand. If you don’t know what is meant by “the Kingdom of Heaven or the Kingdom of God” I suggest you go directly to God and ask Him. Search the Scriptures. He will reveal to you what it means. It is better for you to go directly to Jesus and the Holy Scriptures than for me to tell you. You will truly be blessed.
Compassion *Matt. 9
Jesus has compassion on people. Jesus not only heals, performs miracles, and cast out demons, he also has power and authority to forgive sins. Jesus saw many were harassed and helpless and responded to their needs.
~~~
* One has to remove what is in the way for Jesus to come in – meaning: repent of your sins and then Jesus will gladly come to you when you ask Him too.
