All I can do,
is keep my eyes on You.
You will show me the way,
each and every day.
No matter where I walk,
I shall try not to squawk.
You are so very good to me,
this I can plainly see.
Do not look to the left or right,
only keep Me in your sight.
Keep your head held high,
you will surely fly.
Enemies on every side,
I will protect you far and wide.
So have no fear,
your God is here.
How are we supposed to live? How are we to conduct ourselves according to God’s Holy Word? Verse by verse we will look at what the Lord says in the Bible.
vs. 12 – works of service for God
vs. 13-14 – grow up & become mature
vs. 15 – speak in love, grow up in Christ
vs. 16 – build each other up; love and support. Working for the good of the body of Christ
vs. 17 – guard your thinking; trust God completely. Take every thought captive.
2 Cor. 10:5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
vs. 18 – guard your heart. Do not be hard-hearted (stubborn). Believe and stand on God’s Word.
vs. 19 – be sensitive and not sensual. Indulge not in impurity. Lust after nothing
vs. 21 – live according to Jesus; the Truth
vs. 22 – put off old-self; corruption and deceitful desires
vs. 23 – live as new-self; new attitude and new mind set (no grumbling, complaining)
vs. 24 – new-self with righteousness and holiness (and we know that holiness means not living like everyone else, but living to please God by fully trusting Him.
vs. 25 – put of falsehood; lying and deceiving. Speak truthfully
vs. 26 – don’t sin when angry. Rectify the problem that same day
vs. 27 – keep all doors shut to the devil. (Obeying God’s Word keeps the door shut)
vs. 28 – don’t steal. Work and be useful
vs. 29 – watch what you say; no unwholesome speech. Build up others
vs. 30 – do not grieve the Holy Spirit.
vs. 31 – get rid of bitterness, rage, anger, brawling slander, every form of malice

2 Corinthians 10:5 [Full Chapter]
A poem I’d like to write,
I could write all night.
To write a poem about You,
I delight and wish to do.
But right now I need to pray,
So, I’ll have to write another day.
Today in faith I did stand,
Your peace was awesomely grand.
Even through all that was said,
I knew it was You who led.
You did not even hesitate.
You made my way straight.
Your awesome peace,
You did release
To me all day long,
I knew I wasn’t wrong.
For in You I did trust,
Faith was a must.
You warned me it could be hard,
For You did not want me marred.
I knew it was smart,
To guard over my heart.
Not to let the enemy in,
rake havoc, and cause me to sin.
In God I did trust,
Knowing He is righteous and just.
I stepped out in my calling,
He kept me from falling.
I had to keep my eyes on the One who,
Would see me all the way through.
I kept my wit,
For there I did sit.
I was as patient as could be,
Because my gracious Lord was with me.
When we take the words of Jesus and apply them to our lives we are free.
*He frees us from:
(vs. 22 ) worry; about life – our lives, food – what we eat, body – our health and physical condition, clothes – what to wear
(vs. 25 ) worry; about time – living longer, how long you live
(vs. 26 ) worry; about everything
(vs. 29 ) worry; about food – what we eat, what we drink
(vs. 32 ) worry; afraid – not having enough to live
Jesus tells us not to worry about such things because
(vs. 24 ) we are more valuable – God will feed us
(vs. 28 ) God will clothe us
(vs. 30 ) God knows the need – God will provide
(vs. 31 ) All these things; food, drink, clothing, shelter, everything will be given to us; not some, not most, not all but 1 or 2. No, every single thing will be given; not might, not could, not should, but will be given to us.
(vs. 32 ) the Kingdom; the treasures of heaven, living in God’s presence, eternal life
Why worry when God promises to provide for everything we need. Plus, we can reap the benefits of gaining peace and a better life without worry or being afraid.
22 Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. 23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. 24 Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! 25 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? 26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?
27 “Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 28 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith! 29 And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. 30 For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31 But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.
32 “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.
My love for you is strong,
you cannot go wrong,
if you abide in Me,
then you will see,
you are in My hand.
Here you will stand,
singing a brand new song
This is where you belong.
