Wisdom *Job 28:12-28

12 But where can wisdom be found?
Where does understanding dwell?
13 No mortal comprehends its worth;
it cannot be found in the land of the living.
14 The deep says, “It is not in me”;
the sea says, “It is not with me.”
15 It cannot be bought with the finest gold,
nor can its price be weighed out in silver.
16 It cannot be bought with the gold of Ophir,
with precious onyx or lapis lazuli.
17 Neither gold nor crystal can compare with it,
nor can it be had for jewels of gold.
18 Coral and jasper are not worthy of mention;
the price of wisdom is beyond rubies.
19 The topaz of Cush cannot compare with it;
it cannot be bought with pure gold.
20 Where then does wisdom come from?
Where does understanding dwell?
21 It is hidden from the eyes of every living thing,
concealed even from the birds in the sky.
22 Destruction and Death say,
“Only a rumor of it has reached our ears.”
23 God understands the way to it
and He alone knows where it dwells,
24 for He views the ends of the earth
and sees everything under the heavens.
25 When He established the force of the wind
and measured out the waters,
26 when He made a decree for the rain
and a path for the thunderstorm,
27 then He looked at wisdom and appraised it;
He confirmed it and tested it.
28 And He said to the human race,
“The fear of the Lord—that is wisdom,
and to shun evil is understanding.”

The air is no longer stale
To my God I hail
The air is clean
Feeling serene
It is warm
And does swarm
A nice gentle breeze
Gives a feeling of ease
The air is no longer cold
Causing one to fold
Gone is the freeze
Caused by enemies
Nor is the air swelteringly hot
Causing inside and outside to rot
The temperature is just right
With the Son burning bright.

That Place *Job 23:8-12

Have you ever felt that you are alone? No one understands what you are going through? If that’s hard, what’s harder is when we pray and nothing “seems” to change. Is God listening? Does God hear? Is God too busy for you? Does God really care? All these answers are yes, yes, yes! God does care. It is hard, but God is not too busy for you. God really does care what happens to you – more than we can ever know or comprehend. God has good reasons for keeping silent. If we hold fast to Him and His promises, we eventually will receive a break through.
8“Look, I go forward, but He is not there,
And backward, but I cannot perceive Him;
9 When He works on the left hand, I cannot behold Him;
When He turns to the right hand, I cannot see Him.
10 But He knows the way that I take;
When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.
11 My foot has held fast to His steps;
I have kept His way and not turned aside.
12 I have not departed from the commandment of His lips;
I have treasured the words of His mouth
More than my necessary food.
Even though God is silent, He is very much aware of what is said, done, and happening in every situation. When God finally does speak – and He will- we will have grown in our relationship with Him; grown in faith, trust, hope, and gain insight and blessings. All we need to do is hang in there. God is faithful to His Word.

All Praise

All praise and honor due our God.
Worship Him with reverence and laud.
Let your voice raise
with joyous hymns of praise.
Come to Him and sing,
He will remove the evil sting.
He continually watches over us.
He’s the One with the surplus,
which He gives to you and me,
and it is absolutely free.
It is free for the taking;
there is no mistaking.
Come on let’s celebrate,
how our God is so great.
He is exuberant,
enabling me to feel jubilant.
There’s always much grace,
which is always the case.
God is righteous and true,
pouring love on me and you.
O what love,
descending from above.
Our hearts He warms,
as faithfulness swarms.

St. Paul

I like what St. Paul wrote:
“Only in You can we gloat.”
It is not by my hand
that empowers me to stand.
If it weren’t for You
I would have nothing to do.
If the Lord I did not taste
my life would be a waste.
But I did taste,
so my life isn’t a waste.
I have plenty to do.
And it is all through
the grace of God
to whom I applaud.
Yes, You are the One
God’s one and only Son.

Sound Advice *Job 22:21-23

Sound advice:
21 “Submit to God and be at peace with Him;
in this way prosperity will come to you.
22 Accept instruction from His mouth
and lay up His words in your heart.
23 If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored:
If you remove wickedness far from your tent
