Exuberant

I am so jubilant
my soul is exuberant.
I am not the same
from where I came.
~
I will declare
that my welfare
is not at stake
let’s make no mistake.
~
I’m in very good hands
for the Lord has plans
which I will see
clearly, eventually.
~
So now joy fills my heart
for the Lord will not depart
from the truth of His Word
which can constantly be heard.
~
He is my Keeper
I am the reaper
I reap what He does give
which enables me to live.
~
So, today I go out with expectation
with great hope in the God of creation
I really don’t know what today will hold
but I trust goodness will enfold.

Freedom *Isaiah 61:1-11

Freedom. Reward. Favor. This is the Good News. Praise be to our God, YHWH! Jesus Messiah came to set people free physically, spiritually, emotionally; to bring comfort and healing; blessings. What a gracious and faithful God He is!!!
~~~
“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me,
Because the LORD has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
3 To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”
~
4 And they shall rebuild the old ruins,
They shall raise up the former desolations,
And they shall repair the ruined cities,
The desolations of many generations.
5 Strangers shall stand and feed your flocks,
And the sons of the foreigner
Shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.
6 But you shall be named the priests of the LORD,
They shall call you the servants of our God.
You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles,
And in their glory you shall boast.
7 Instead of your shame you shall have double honor,
And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion.
Therefore in their land they shall possess double;
Everlasting joy shall be theirs.
~
8 “For I, the LORD, love justice;
I hate robbery for burnt offering;
I will direct their work in truth,
And will make with them an everlasting covenant.
9 Their descendants shall be known among the Gentiles,
And their offspring among the people.
All who see them shall acknowledge them,
That they are the posterity whom the LORD has blessed.”
~
10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD,
My soul shall be joyful in my God;
For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation,
He has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments,
And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
11 For as the earth brings forth its bud,
As the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth,
So the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
Fruit
Sweet, ripe, juicy fruit
does not come from a brute.
Wouldn’t you like to know
what kind of fruit you grow?
Just take a look around
fruit can be found.
What do you see?
Is there plenty
or is your fruit few?
It all depends on what you do.
Is it appetizing
maybe enticing,
or is it quite a bore
because you need more?
How does it taste?
Is it good or a waste?
It’s important to evaluate
and then to educate.
We don’t want any rotten
nor any to be forgotten.
So let’s not be hasty,
let’s produce what’s tasty.
~
I think my fruit is good
so I think I should
not walk around sappy
for I should be happy.
Exert
I have to exert;
I must assert
some effort
to find comfort.
I must initiate
to participate
in communication
as recreation.
~
So now instead
of walking around dead
I’ll hold my head high
and walk around spry.
No longer looking forlorn
nor will I mourn.
I have to get out and try
otherwise all I do is cry.
Easy Fix *Isaiah 59:1-2
Easy fix: for God to hear your prayer – repent and relent from your sinful ways. When you do this and come clean, you have removed the blockage that was keeping you separated from God’s answer.
~~~
1 Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save,
nor His ear too dull to hear.
2 But your iniquities have separated
you from your God;
your sins have hidden His face from you,
so that He will not hear.
~~~
Again, easy fix – for God to hear your prayer – repent and relent from your sinful ways. When you do this and come clean, you have removed the blockage that was keeping you separated from God’s answer.
