Guidance * Isaiah 22:9-13

Matthew 11: 28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
God allows problems, troubles, and/or invasions to capture our attention, but what do we do with them? Do we turn from our sin and return to God? Do we try to fix or solve the problem or do we turn to God for help and guidance? Do we turn to God and seek His face and direction or do we just keep carrying on about what we think and feel? Do we do what everyone else is doing? Do we have His peace and rest as Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-29 – “Come all…. or are you consumed with fear, worry, doubts, and anxiety? The choice is ours for the making. Do we choose our way, society’s way, or Jesus’ way? Think about it. Examine where your thoughts are. Examine what you are doing.

Come All Who Are Thirsty *Isaiah 55

Come all who are hungry and thirsty, eat and be filled; nourishment for your soul can only be found in the Lord God of Israel – the One true God.
~
“Come, all you who are thirsty,
come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without cost.
2 Why spend money on what is not bread,
and your labor on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good,
and you will delight in the richest of fare.
3 Give ear and come to me;
listen, that you may live.
I will make an everlasting covenant with you,
my faithful love promised to David.
4 See, I have made him a witness to the peoples,
a ruler and commander of the peoples.
5 Surely you will summon nations you know not,
and nations you do not know will come running to you,
because of the LORD your God,
the Holy One of Israel,
for he has endowed you with splendor.”
6 Seek the LORD while he may be found;
call on him while he is near.
7 Let the wicked forsake their ways
and the unrighteous their thoughts.
Let them turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on them,
and to our God, for he will freely pardon.
8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the LORD.
9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 As the rain and the snow
come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
12 You will go out in joy
and be led forth in peace;
the mountains and hills
will burst into song before you,
and all the trees of the field
will clap their hands.
13 Instead of the thornbush will grow the juniper,
and instead of briers the myrtle will grow.
This will be for the LORD’s renown,
for an everlasting sign,
that will endure forever.”

But God *Isaiah 51:12-15

Even so… Even though… But God… Troubles and hardship comes, but God is above all and will bring provision to those who are His.
~
12 “I, even I, am He who comforts you.
Who are you that you should be afraid
Of a man who will die,
And of the son of a man who will be made like grass?
13 And you forget the LORD your Maker,
Who stretched out the heavens
And laid the foundations of the earth;
You have feared continually every day
Because of the fury of the oppressor,
When he has prepared to destroy.
And where is the fury of the oppressor?
14 The captive exile hastens, that he may be loosed,
That he should not die in the pit,
And that his bread should not fail.
15 But I am the LORD your God,
Who divided the sea whose waves roared—
The LORD of hosts is His name.

The Lord Contends *Isaiah 49:24-26

The Lord contends for us. He is our buckler and shield. There is none like our God; sovereign over all in heaven above, on earth, and in the depths below. Mighty is the God of Israel!
~
Shall the prey be taken from the mighty,
Or the captives [a]of the righteous be delivered?
25 But thus says the LORD:
“Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away,
And the prey of the terrible be delivered;
For I will contend with him who contends with you,
And I will save your children.
26 I will feed those who oppress you with their own flesh,
And they shall be drunk with their own blood as with sweet wine.
All flesh shall know
That I, the LORD, am your Savior,
And your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”

Return *Isaiah 9:13

Devastation to the land, plagues devoured the people but the people keep right on sinning. They pay no attention to what God Almighty says or does. The people need to repent of their sins – true repentance, then God will forgive them their sins and bring a healing to the land. This word goes out for all nations. Look at what is taking place on the whole earth. We are all experiencing the judgments of God. Repent and your life will be saved from eternal damnation. The time has come. The time is now. The hour is late. Do not hesitate. Don’t wait until it is too late.
~
But the people have not returned to Him who struck them,
nor have they sought the LORD Almighty.

Creator Speaks *Isaiah 48:12-13

The God of Creation speaks not only to Israel, His first born, but to Gentiles as well.
~
12 “Listen to Me, O Jacob,
And Israel, My called:
I am He, I am the First,
I am also the Last.
13 Indeed My hand has laid the foundation of the earth,
And My right hand has stretched out the heavens;
When I call to them,
They stand up together.

Said & Done *Isaiah 46:8-13

So it is said; so it is done!
~
“Remember this, keep it in mind,
take it to heart, you rebels.
9 Remember the former things, those of long ago;
I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like me.
10 I make known the end from the beginning,
from ancient times, what is still to come.
I say, ‘My purpose will stand,
and I will do all that I please.’
11 From the east I summon a bird of prey;
from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose.
What I have said, that I will bring about;
what I have planned, that I will do.
12 Listen to me, you stubborn-hearted,
you who are now far from my righteousness.
13 I am bringing my righteousness near,
it is not far away;
and my salvation will not be delayed.
I will grant salvation to Zion,
my splendor to Israel.
