Direction without Doubt
(A Pastor’s Sermon)
1. Clear the pathway = clear your heart of sin
2. Exercise patience = willing to trust God; willing to submit to God’s timing. Psalm 25:3
3. Be alert to pressure = fear (If you live a godly life you will be rejected.)
4. Persist in prayer = God is working in our hearts; shaping our character.
5. Rest in God’s Promises = If we seek, knock He will answer. (Just keep talking to God.)
6. Wait for His Peace = Let peace of Christ rule in your heart.
Today is a good day to take some time and acknowledge who God is and what He’s done.
1 Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD;
let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
2 Let us come before Him with thanksgiving
and extol Him with music and song.
3 For the LORD is the great God,
the great King above all gods.
4 In His hand are the depths of the earth,
and the mountain peaks belong to Him.
5 The sea is His, for He made it,
and His hands formed the dry land.
6 Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;
7 for He is our God
and we are the people of His pasture,
the flock under His care.
Today, if only you would hear His voice,
Righteous is an interesting word.
Psalm 68:3 But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful.
Anyone can be righteous. Being righteous does not mean being perfect. Righteous means total belief and trust in God; trust and faith in who God is and what He says in His holy Scriptures.
I like what the father of a demon possessed boy said to Jesus when he brought his son to Jesus for deliverance, Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24) Jesus full of love and mercy told the boy’s father to go in peace, his son was healed. The boy’s father walked away rejoicing exceedingly.
When we need more faith/trust just ask the Lord and He will supply the need.
God’s Word is full of good promises for those who believe.
Psalm 119:76 (Lord God) May Your unfailing love be my comfort, according to Your promise to Your servant.
Today’s devotion is to meditate on God’s merciful kindness, and with an expectant heart ask God in His merciful kindness to be your comfort and shield according to His faithful promises.
Lord God, merciful Father thank you for all Your wonderful promises. You are a faithful and just God full of love, compassion, mercy, and grace, which You continually pour out over Your people.
Lord, we are asking for Your unfailing mercy and kindness today. Come and be our comfort as Your Word states in many, many places that You alone can comfort those who feel bad, lousy, hurt, or mourn. Come today Lord and comfort Your people. For Your Name’s sake. Thank You. Amen
