Step Out *1 Sam. 14

1 Samuel 14
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Samuel+14&version=NKJV;NIV
~~~
Step out in faith even when the odds are ridiculous. God sent panic into the enemy’s camp and they “melted away” in all directions. Panic and confusion filled the camp. So when “things” in your life look hopeless there is hope; when situations look impossible and there is no way out, God makes a way where there was no way. Only God can do this. This is an encouraging word for us.
~~~
I can do all things through Him (Jesus) who strengthens me. (Phil. 4:13)
~~~
Thank you Lord that You truly are our hope and joy. And that all things are possible because You are above all, in all, and through all things. Be glorified in our lives. In Jesus Name. Amen.
About Today
Now about today,
Lord have Your way.
Speak to Your people Israel,
Empower Your servant to tell:
“Awake and arise
Let there be no surprise
What lies ahead
Do not dread
For Your God is in control
He is the One to extol
Give Him honor and praise
Yes, let your voice raise
Higher than the sky
Come and worship Adonai.”
If you rent your heart
you will be smart.
God is true to His Word
which you have heard.
You cannot deny
it is only Adonai.
When the war’s begun
He is the only One
who can take you by the hand
keeping you safe in your land.
It is so absurd
to ignore God’s Word.
~~~
Now rent your heart
He will give you a new start.
He will clear your way,
the way you walk each day.
God will meet your need
if only Him you heed.
He is Israel’s Mighty One
why not to Him come.
He longs to be with you.
He is the only One who
loves you deeply, more than you know
so don’t hesitate, now to Him go.
If you heed the Word He sent
to Him turning as you repent,
He will make Himself known.
No longer will you groan
as you worship Him alone.
God is on His royal Throne;
He rules from above,
give Him all your love.
Today is the day
to change your evil way.
Repent! I say repent,
for this is the word sent.

Good Shepherd

Have you not heard
Jesus is the Shepherd
The enemy will taunt
But I shall not want
He makes me lay down
To give me a crown
By peaceful waters He leads
His hand He graciously feeds
A harvest of fruit yields
From the enemy He shields
He tends to the sheep herd
For He is the Good Shepherd
Only He can make me whole
For He restoreth my soul
My cup overflows
That’s just how it goes
Mercy and love will be with me
Thank you Lord, God Almighty
He guides me along His path
Leading me away from wrath
What a gracious God He is
I am so thankful I am His

Walking *1 Sam. 13

1 Samuel 13

~~~
Walk by faith and not by sight. If a person persists in sin and won’t change then they are choosing to walk away from God and they will perish. If you persistently rebel against God, then His hand will be against you. We do have free will and the choice is ours. God cannot be blamed for our poor choices and decisions.
~~~
Lord, God of Israel, soften our hearts so that we will not be in rebellion against You. Help us to make good decisions and good choices that will lead us in the way everlasting; that will lead us to You and not away from You. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Darkest Pit

There I did sit
In the darkest pit
I called upon God’s Name

He heard my cry and came
Then He pulled me up
The Lord filled my cup
No longer in despair
God came and did care
He set me on my way
Saying everything is okay
I now can follow Him
My life now is not dim
For His light shines bright
All day and through the night
I’m thankful He saved me
That’s why I say blessed be He

Born

The Christ child is born
On this wondrous morn’
He came to set man free
That means you and me
He came to show us the way
Walk with him & you’ll be okay
He is the Saviour for our sin
With him you can only win
What a glorious day this is
I am so glad that I am his
~~~
So, let us all remember
This special day in December
When people celebrate his birth
Precious is Messiah Jesus’ worth
So in this Christmas season
Jesus Christ is the reason
God’s Promises *1 Sam. 12:20-25
1 Samuel 12:20-25
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Samuel+12%3A20-25&version=NKJV;NIV
~~~
Even though the people rejected God and kept doing evil in His sight, God said, “Turn away from your sins, for I will not reject you.” For God’s own sake, He keeps His promises. Not only did God NOT reject His people because of their sins, but God went on to say that He was “pleased to make them His own.” Wow!!! This is a powerful statement coming from the mouth of God Almighty.
~~~
But God will not be mocked. There are consequences for sin. However, over and over again we see God’s love, care, forgiveness poured out over His people. What a gracious and merciful God we serve.
~~~
Lord, God of Israel, thank you for your unfailing love and faithfulness to Your Word, Your promises. Help us to be a faithful people and to turn from our sins. Lead us in the way of everlasting life.
