*God told His people He was with them, which encouraged the people.
Twice the Lord says, “Give careful thought to your ways.”
And in Haggai chapter 2 the Lord continues to say to His people:
15 “‘Now give careful thought to this from this day on…” 18c “Give careful thought:”
God is saying remember what it was like (wretched) and now (blessed). Sin destroys. Obedience brings life. Put God first and His house and watch the blessings flow.
*We, too, need to take heed to this very important word and pay close attention to what we are doing, how we are acting, and what we are saying.
