Replaced *Lev. 22:29

The old way of sacrificing an animal unto the Lord has been replaced with the Sacrificial Lamb – Jesus Christ. However, the principle here is the same for us; it’s the same throughout all generations, which is: Any and all sacrifices are to be made in such a way that “it will be accepted on your behalf.” All this means is: Don’t be half-hearted when giving an offering to the Lord your God. God deserves our best, so our best is required.

Today, if you hear His voice, harden not your heart.

The Name *Lev. 19:12

12 “‘Do not swear falsely by My Name and so profane the Name of your God. I am the LORD.
~~~
God’s Name is holy. Holy means to be set apart. Holy is not something common. When speaking His Name, it must be done with reverence and honor.
~~~
As Jesus said, “All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.” (Matthew 5:37)

Harvest *Lev. 19:9-10

9 “‘When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. 10 Do not go over your vineyard a second time or pick up the grapes that have fallen. Leave them for the poor and the foreigner. I am the Lord your God.
~~~
God is the giver of all things. He commands the land owner at harvest time to leave some of their crops for the poor and foreigner.
~~~
Could we say the farmer is to leave about 10% of his crop for the poor and needy, so they won’t go hungry? God is concerned and cares about all people and wants none of them to go hungry.
~~~
Just think, obeying God’s command will put the land owner in right standing with God, which brings forth blessings. When we bless others, God blesses us.
~~~
This is a good word not only for land owners, but for us as well. When we have more than we need, we should share willingly with those who don’t have or have little.
