Grateful

O God, you are faithful.
For this, I am grateful!
All you say and do,
Makes me love You.
I want to sing and shout,
And spread Your Word about.
~
You are so great.
I can hardly wait,
To tell of the Good News,
To those whom You choose.
I would not mind at all,
To go where You do call.
~
You will give me all I need,
Because You want Your people freed.
Your love for them is great.
I will not hesitate,
To share what I know about You,
Because You are the One who is True.
~
You bring such joy to my soul.
You came and filled the hole,
In my heart,
Right from the start.
Now I walk in gladness,
Because You’ve taken my sadness.
~
You are so good to me.
Oh, how I love Thee!
My Great and Awesome God,
To whom I do laud.
I give all my love,
To the Mighty One above.

Choice

We need to look beyond
our situation so bleak.
Where is our faith?
What do we see?
~
What are your thoughts?
of the One Most High?
Is there anything to difficult?
Is our great God limited?
~
The Lord! The Lord!
He is the only One.
He reigns on high.
All things are in His hand.
~
Where is your faith!
What have you done!
Turn to the Lord!
Repent and be glad.
~
He longs to forgive you.
All you have to do is ask.
Turn and you’ll be glad.
His blessings await you.
~
Do you want the truth?
Are you willing to change?
Fear not, for He is good.
God’s love endures forever.
~
The choice is yours.
We have free will.
We are not puppets.
What do you choose?
~
Do you choose life?
Our Sovereign God reigns.
Or is death the way you go?
To live apart – torment reigns.
~
Today is the day.
The hour has come!
What will it be?
What will you choose?

New Height

This is about,
That awful doubt.
Doubt is such a bad thing.
It’s power sure does sting.
~
Doubt leaves you high and dry.
It makes you want to cry.
Doubt is such a pain.
There is nothing to gain.
~
When doubt takes over,
You’re in trouble moreover.
Because you’ve let it in,
It develops into sin.
~
All these doubts inside.
They do not try to hide.
It may start out just as one.
Before you know it, there’s a ton!
~
A doubt can be a sly little devil,
Keeping you from the right level.
It brings you down fast,
If you let them last.
~
They dwell inside your being.
They keep you from seeing.
The truth that does abound,
Is no where to be found.
~
Truth gets pushed aside,
While doubt goes for a ride.
It goes where it wants,
And it certainly haunts!
~
Doubt tries to fill you full.
You now are in a pull.
It likes to rule your life,
Bringing a great deal of strife.
~
Once this is made known,
The seed that was sown,
Must be removed,
In order to improve.
~
A battle will take place.
Doubt wants to win the race.
You must grab a hold.
Stand firm. Be bold.
~
The battle will be hard and long.
Don’t give in, and be strong.
It will be over at last,
If you’ve been steadfast.
~
Keep your eyes on the Lord.
Keep your hands on the Sword.
If you do this,
You can not miss.
~
Doubt will soon go away,
But will come another day.
Do not put your guard down,
For doubt likes to hang aroun’.
~
Eventually it will get tired,
And find a new place to be hired.
Make sure you don’t give in,
For this is the only way to win.
~
Call upon His name.
This is my claim.
Remember, before you fight,
He will show you what is right.
~
He will bring you to a new height,
For you have fought a good fight.
You are precious in His sight,
And in you He does delight!

Last Days *2 Tim. 3:1-5

1 But know this, that in the last days [a]perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; 9 but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.
~~~
Lord, may we be Your people who reject all the lies from Satan and only seek to bring You glory. Keep us from ungodliness, sinful desired, pride, and arrogance. Thank you. In Jesus Name.
As the Flower Blossoms
As the flower blossoms,
It needs water and sun,
To grow healthy and strong.
It does not go out to seek,
The nourishment it needs.
It is totally dependent,
And trusts where food will come from.
~
When dry season hits,
The flower does not give up,
For its roots dig deeper,
Deeper into the ground.
Where no other water is found.
~
Above the dry and dusty surface,
The flower does look beat.
Yet at that important hour,
It does not give up all hope.
For in the distance there is a cloud.
~
Refreshment is on its way,
The rain brought a good soaking.
Reviving the flower to new heights.
All because it did not fret,
Nor give up to the end.
It now stands tall and strong.
The most beautiful flower in all the land.
God is Great
God is great.
I will not hesitate,
To come to Him,
Any time I can.
For He is the best.
He brings me rest.
I need not worry.
He is always there,
By my side,
I need not hide.
~
His love for me is great.
I am thankful to Him.
A privilege it is,
To be called His.
I am His child.
He is my God.
I can say clearly,
I love Him dearly.
He is so good,
A righteous God.
~
Blessed be His Name.
He is always the same.
He is never changing.
A wonder to be had.
I can count on Him,
Even when things look dim.
I am so grateful,
For all that You do,
For all that You give me.
Oh, how I love Thee!
Flee From Evil *2 Tim. 2:22-26
22 Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 23 Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. 24 And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. 25 Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, 26 and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.
Lord, teach Your people how to cleanse themselves, so that they will be instruments for noble purposes, made holy, useful to You, the Master and to be prepared to do any good work. (2 Tim. 2:21 prayer)
Our King
Praise be to our King,
For He gives us everything.
If we only knew,
all the things He can do.
We would shout for joy.
~
Praise be to our King,
This has such a nice ring.
He will see us through,
Yes, this is quite true.
We can be rest assured.
~
Praise be to our King,
Come to Him and sing.
Do not be so sad and blue,
For he has great love for you.
He fills our every need.
~
Praise be to our King,
We can take refuge under His wing.
Up, away with us He flew,
Not just the Jew, but the Gentile too.
Brings healing to our land.
~
Praise be to our King,
We are not puppets on a string.
If we only had a clue,
Of what the Lord Almighty can do!
We would bow down and worship.
