Prayer *Col. 4:2-4

2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. 3 And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. 4 Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. 5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. 6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Lord, God of Israel, teach us how to devote ourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. I pray that You, Lord would open a door for us to proclaim the mystery of Christ, and proclaim it clearly. And that we would be wise in the way we act toward outsiders – making the most of every opportunity. Lord, let our conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that we may know how to answer everyone. (Col. 4:2-4 prayer)

Whatever You Do *Col. 3:18-25

Whatever you do – husband & wife, slave & master, employer & employee do it all – all you do – do it for the Lord God for your reward will be great in heaven.
~~~
18 Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
19 Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.
20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.
21 Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged.
22 Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. 23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. 25 Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism.
The Message *Col. 3:15-17
15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
Father, may the peace of Christ rule in our hearts, since as members of one body we were called to peace and also to be thankful. May the words of Christ dwell in us richly as we teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, singing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in our hearts to You, Father. I pray whatever we do, whether in word or deed, we would do it all in the Name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to You God our Father through Jesus. (Col. 3:15-17 prayer)
Clothing *Col. 3:11-14
In the Kingdom of God there is beautiful, new clothing to be had.
~~~
Therefore Lord God, as Your chosen people, holy and dearly loved, help us to clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. And that we would bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances we have against one another. That we would forgive as You Lord forgave us. And over all these virtues we would have love, which binds them all together in unity. In the Name of Jesus I pray. (Col. 3:12-14 prayer)
~~~
11 Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.
12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Things Above *Col. 3:1-10
Set your mind on things above and not on earthly things, for things of this world perish and we cannot take them with us when we die.
~~~
Father God, since we have been raised with Christ, help us to set our hearts on things above, where Jesus is seated at Your right hand. Set our minds on things above, not on earthly things. (Col. 3:1-2 prayer)
Lord, help us to put to death whatever belongs to our earthly nature; sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. (Col. 3:5 prayer)
Lord, help us to rid ourselves of all these things: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from our lips, and lies. I pray we would not lie to one another, since we have taken off our old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. (Col. 3:8-10 prayer)
~~~
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. 7 You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. 8 But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. 9 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.
Captive *Col. 2:6-8
I pray no one would take you captive trough hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ Jesus. (Col. 2:8 prayer)
~~~
6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
8 See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.

Full Riches *Col. 2:2-5

I pray you would be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that you may have the full riches of complete understanding in order that you may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I pray that no one would deceive you by fine-sounding arguments, and that you would stand firm in your faith in Christ. (Col. 2-5 prayer)
~~~
For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh, 2 that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
4 Now this I say lest anyone should deceive you with persuasive words; fine-sounding arguments. 5 For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.
