Time of Year

This is the time of year,
That can bring you lots of cheer.
All that you have to do,
Is acknowledge the One who,
Created heaven and earth,
With salvation from rebirth.
~
The joy He wants to give,
A peace therein to live.
This overflowing love,
Comes only from above.
It is for you and me.
It is absolutely free.
~
What is the true meaning of life?
Are you filled with so much strife?
Why not give it all up today.
This truly is the right way.
It is as easy as one, two, three
To ask Him to come and be with thee.
~
So why not take a stand,
To walk around the land,
With your head held high,
He will draw you nigh.
His peace will fill your heart.
What a great brand new start.
~
His blessings are for the taking.
If only you are making,
A choice to come to Him,
It is more than just a whim.
He will ever be by your side.
He will never loose His stride.
~
Oh the joy He does bring,
It makes you want to sing!
His peace does fill the air.
He tends to you with care.
His love for you does overflow.
All you have to do, to Him is go.

One Holy Night

One holy night,
a star burned bright.
Way down in Bethlehem,
is where it did stem.
Joseph and Mary,
were given a baby.
~
Way up high,
in the sky,
angels were heard,
giving a word.
The shepherds did hear,
and had no fear.
Even though it was night,
they immediately took flight.
They had to go see,
this new born baby.
~
The Wise Men from a far,
had been following a star.
This star did burn bright,
for many a night.
They did ponder,
what was yonder.
The star they followed,
was to see the Hallowed.
One does proclaim,
from the east they came.
~
They traveled far and wide,
riding on camels’ hide.
Their journey was swift,
for each had a gift.
Each one of them did bring,
a gift for the new born King,
It has been told,
that one brought gold.
Frankincense was brought.
That was a nice thought.
The last gift was like spice,
which sure smelled nice.
~
When the magi did arrive.
The baby was alive.
In the stable, on the hay,
is where the new born baby lay.
The parents couldn’t afford more,
because they were quite poor.
Each Wise Man bent his knee,
upon seeing the baby.
I bet their hearts did sing,
as they looked at the King.
Their gifts they gave,
to the One who will save.
Jesus is his name.
He is why they came.
~
Then they went on their way,
praising God for this day.
God deserves all the glory.
This is a great true story.

Thanksgiving

On this holiday
To the Lord say:
Lord thank you
For all You do
All You have given
And breath for livin’
For my hands & feet
For each and every treat
For family and friends
Your love which never ends
For Your protection and care
Hearing each and every prayer
Your Name we can call upon
The Bible we can rely on
For all that is seen
And all that is unseen
Creator, You are keen
Your blessings we glean
Grace and mercy galore
Faithful, kind, and more
So, do not hesitate
To say, “God You are great!”

Special Day

(Yom Kippur)
Your ways, I know, are just
It is in You, Lord, that I trust
~
On this very special day
On this Yom Kippur I say
Forgive me when I’m rude
Forgive my wrongful attitude
~
You, Lord, are the only way
You get me through each day
It is on Your Sacrifice I lean
~
Come Lord, make me clean
Wash me so that I’ll glow
Make me as white as snow
~
Cleanse me from within
Take iniquity and all my sin
~
I renounce all evil connection
I will follow the Lord’s direction
I break all wrongful ties
Will not partake in their lies
~
Where I’m weak, make me strong
I will follow You all day long
And over the course of time
As reflected in years of rhyme

Lord Forgive

Lord, forgive me for the sin
That dwells deep within
~
For unbelief and doubt
And not kicking them out
~
For anxiousness and fear
Not trusting You are near
~
For little faith and trust
You are faithful and just
~
For putting myself before You
And sometimes others too
~
For not putting You first in my life
And for living in strife
~
Of these I relent
Of these I repent
~
On Your forgiveness I lean
Come Lord and make me clean.

Heb. 13:20-21

Shanah Tovah! (Happy New Year!)
May the blessings of our gracious Lord be upon you and yours this first day of the New Year.
20 Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, 21 equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.  (Heb. 13:20-21)

Passover Lamb

The Passover Lamb
was sent by the great I AM,
because He did care
about His people’s despair.
He not only came to save
but to teach us how to behave,
to show us the right way
to walk each and every day.
He gave us all His love
and is as gentle as a dove.
His hand is the One who does control.
He is the One we should extol.
All honor and glory due His name.
We are the reason that He came.
So let us to Him raise
a sound of endless praise.

New Year

May the Lord this New Year
fill your heart with cheer.
May He give you shalom
whether at work or home.
May He give you insight
every day and night.
May He grant you good health
and fill your pockets with wealth.
May He keep you from strife
and grant you long life.
Just stay true to Him
and your life won’t be grim.
May this year that’s new
be a blessed one for you.
