Only God can do the miraculous. When there is absolutely no way possible that’s when God moves; that’s when God displays His glory. God waits until there is absolutely no way for a task to be accomplished by human hands. This way only He gets the credit. No one and nothing else is even remotely close. One main reason why God allows this to happen is that He wants His people to know who He is, that He loves them, and wants to develop a relationship with them.

The next time something happens in your life and there is absolutely no way it can be remedied seek God with all your heart. Wait on Him, stand back and watch Him move – intervene in the situation. When God moves/ intervenes in a hopeless looking situation the results are breathtaking. God does not do “just enough”. What God does is extravagant.

The people were hungry and wanted meat. God gave them an over abundance. Scripture says the meat (quail) was “about three feet above the ground as far as a day’s walk in any direction.” Wow! How is that for extravagance!

Trust is a Must *Num. 11:1-3

This passage of Scripture is rarely talked about. I can’t ever remember hearing a sermon about this. Three times the Hebrews grumbled in the desert about food and water. But this is different. The Lord just finished giving exact instructions on the what, how, and who; what to do, how to do it, and who would do it. Each person, each tribe had a responsibility, and they all had to work together for the good of the whole community. They were headed to the Promised Land; filled with milk and honey. A rich, wondrous land God was leading them too, but they were consumed with the here and now. Not looking ahead at God’s promises and not remembering how God miraculously provided for their every need. They just broke camp and were only three days into their journey when they began to grumble and complain again. How displeasing this is to the Lord.

After all the blessings that the Lord had poured out upon His people, the people complained again. This time it was about the hardship of moving. The Lord heard and was angry with this unappreciative lot and sent a fire “consuming the outskirts of the camp.”

A little yeast affects the whole dough.

We are to have grateful, thankful hearts and acknowledge God’s faithfulness. If He calls us to do something then there is a very good reason for it. We might not see the benefits of it right away, but if we follow and trust Him, we will be blessed beyond measure.

God is good and greatly should be praised.

Relationship *Num. 5:5-7

Did you know that how you treat others affects your relationship to the Lord? This is a powerful verse. When we wrong someone (anyone) we put our relationship with God in jeopardy. Scripture says when we do this we are unfaithful to the Lord, we are to confess to the Lord our sin (wrong), and make restitution: not only pay back, but also add an extra 1/5 to it.
