Rest * Heb. 4:1-7

Hebrews 4:1-7;NIV
Harden not your hearts.
We can enter His rest. Yes, we are able. God’s Word says so. God’s rest – His peace is available to us. All we have to do is choose it. His rest is for the taking – rest from strife, rest from worry and fear, rest from our trials and tribulations, etc. We have available to us the help we need to go through life. All we have to do is choose it and then walk in confidence – in faith – that God does do what His Word says.
Jesus said, “Come all you who are heavy laden and I will give you rest.” It is as simple as that. Just come to Him and He will give you rest; rest to your soul, rest for your mind, peace in your heart. As the song says, “Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full into His wonderful face and the things on earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.”
Lord Jesus, we need You. We come to You. As the Word says, and we ask You, Lord give us rest from those things that are troubling and burdensome. We come to you so You can give us rest and lead us beside the peaceful, quiet waters. You are the only One who can restore each soul. Increase our faith and trust in You and Your Word. We thank You for making rest available to anyone who wants it. We thank you that all we have to do is ask You and You will help us. Your grace and mercy are astounding. Pour out Your grace and mercy on us – we need You. Soften our hearts to receive the truth. May the truth push out all lies and every false way in us. Fill us to over flow in the truth and empower our feet to walk in it. Bring us into a deeper relationship with You. Thank you for all You do. Amen.

In All

Lord, in all that You do
You are glorious and true
You guide us safely through
Gracious and merciful too
Lord I want to thank You
For all that You do and will do
Praise the Lord – Baruch Hu (blessed are You)
