~~~
Even though the people rejected God and kept doing evil in His sight, God said, “Turn away from your sins, for I will not reject you.” For God’s own sake, He keeps His promises. Not only did God NOT reject His people because of their sins, but God went on to say that He was “pleased to make them His own.” Wow!!! This is a powerful statement coming from the mouth of God Almighty.
~~~
But God will not be mocked. There are consequences for sin. However, over and over again we see God’s love, care, forgiveness poured out over His people. What a gracious and merciful God we serve.
~~~
Lord, God of Israel, thank you for your unfailing love and faithfulness to Your Word, Your promises. Help us to be a faithful people and to turn from our sins. Lead us in the way of everlasting life.
Roam
My heart will not roam
I’ll worship God alone
~~~
My God, my King
You are my everything
To You alone I sing
Thanks and praise I bring
Low to high let it ring
Above You there is nothing
Not even one little thing
~~~
Whether by the way or at home
I will give thanks; not moan
Glory to God
Give glory to God
all praise, honor and laud,
for what He has done
by sending us His Son.
Honor to Him in the highest
for He is the wisest.
He does release
an unending peace
on those whom His favor rests
blocking the way of pests.
~~~
God’s holy Word
is now heard
from angels on high
as they appear in the sky
proclaiming Jesus’ birth
along with his worth.
He came for mankind
to open their closed mind,
to fill them with the light,
enabling them to walk upright.
